Bare Knuckle Steve Stevens Rebel Yell Humbucker Set – Nickel

Steve Stevens is best known for his guitar work with Billy Idol. He went to Bare Knuckle to explore the possibility of developing a signature set that were not simply just more generic metal pickups. After extensive research, development and testing (with Steve himself taking them for a spin in the studio), the end result is the Rebel Yell Humbucker set.

Tonal Considerations

These pickups deliver a level of harmonic variety and serious bite which are not both usually found in other models. The attack hits you full in the face, while the bottom end boasts a surprising amount of clarity. A far tighter bass response, increased presence, clean highs and punch in the mid-range are all on offer too. This is thanks to closer offset coils made using 43 AWG plain enamel wire.

When Steve plays, he likes to make extensive use of his volume pot; Bare Knuckle made sure that they clean up seriously well when you back off on the volume. You can also get completely saturated overdrive as its possible to push a tube amplifier to its absolute limits!

Unique Visuals

A truly individual ray gun design has been etched into each of the covers – adding a final visual embellishment to a set of truly unique pickups!
