Carmen Vandenberg (Bones UK, Jeff Beck) and Blackstar have created a true masterpiece – the CV30. Combining the elegance and style of classic art deco venues with a 6L6 valve powerhouse, this 2-channel 1×12″ combo is designed to handle her distinctive blend of riff-heavy rock and roll, beautifully-clean chord progressions and industrial blues licks.

The Story

Blackstar welcomed Carmen Vandenberg to Blackstar HQ in 2019, with the purpose of developing a signature amplifier built to meet her demands as one of the most exciting up-and-coming guitar players in recent years.

6L6 Valves, Class A

At the heart of the CV30 lies a unique power amplifier design, carefully optimising the key power amp parameters of the CV30 resulting in outstanding dynamics normally associated with a USA 6L6 design, whilst adding the chime and shimmer of a classic British Class A amplifier.

With the emphasis on simplicity and sonic purity, the CV30 is an ideal pedal platform amplifier which allows any musician the freedom to shape their own sound.

Versatile 2-Channel Design

Channel 1 – The Volume and Tone controls offer just the right amount of adjustment on drive level and treble frequencies to drive the power amplifier to the optimum level, depending on your style and sound preference. Here the emphasis is on signal integrity and hence the nuances of your guitar, pedal and playing style will cut through with brilliant clarity.

Channel 2 – A new level of clean and crunch flexibility. Featuring Blackstar’s patented ISF, set counter-clockwise the tone stack is set to a US response, with tight low mids and emphasised treble and presence frequencies. With the control clockwise, the tone varies towards a more British response, with warm low mids for a ‘woody’ clean or crunch.
