Semi-Hollow Body Construction

D’Angelico were early pioneers of the archtop electric guitar, so it’s therefore no surprise why their stunning Premier Mini DC model follows a somewhat traditional semi-hollow body formula — harking back to the ’50s and ’60s. Giving the model plenty of vibrancy, definition and acoustic-like volume — especially with the bright-sounding laminated Maple/Spruce tonewoods — you can expect airy, resonant sonics with singing note sustain. This design makes the instrument feel nice and light too!

Ultra-Playable Neck

The Premier Mini DC’s body is joined with a rigid Maple neck, boasting a smooth Ovangkol fingerboard that provides a silky touch under the fingers. The neck is shaped to a lean “C” carve which both traditionalists and modern players will admire, while a contemporary 14″ fingerboard radius and medium-sized frets offer a controllable feel for wide vibrato and pitch-perfect string bends.
