The Ibanez PC14MHCE is a striking alternative take on the entry level acoustic, as we’ve grown accustomed to from the legendary Japanese builders. It’s kitted out in an awesome black finish with the open pore okoume body adding to the luxurious aesthetic.

Construction

The PC14MHCE is made using matching okoume back, sides and top. This is a mahogany-style tonewood producing a warm, full, rich tone. Attached is a comfortable nyatoh neck topped with a laurel fingerboard and embedded with 20 frets. Versatile for any acoustic style, the PC14MHCE proves to be a great starting point whatever direction you’d like to take you guitar playing.

Ibanez’s Advantage bridge pins are easier to slot in and remove than your standard bridge pins, and make restringing a far smoother experience.

Electronics

A massive bonus to the PC14MHCE is its impressive Ibanez undersaddle pickup, allowing you to hook the guitar up to a speaker for louder live playing. The preamp lets you focus your chosen frequencies, while the built-in tuner is extremely handy for on-the-fly adjustments.
