Morgan are an American firm based in California that make high end amps and cabs. This 1×12 cab has a Celestion Creamback G12H-75 speaker which is designed to produce stronger bass and a cutting high end. Chords and lead playing will sound strong and full, especially when you combine it with one of Morgan’s heads.

Classic style

This cab has Morgan’s Classic finish. This has a traditional, understated style and as we all know Black goes with everything so this cab would suit a whole range of styles.

Open back vs closed back construction

The debate between open vs closed back rages on but in simple terms closed back amps have less back and side volume and a focused sound coming from the front while Open back amps spread the sound around and have a richer, more interesting sound that’s good for filing more enclosed spaces.

This cab is an open back model, a more popular choice if you play smaller indoor spaces without micing up.

The Morgan 1×12 CAB is a 1×12”, open-back extension cabinet. It utilizes tongue-and-groove Baltic Birch construction to deliver the bass, mid response and great sound you would expect from a Morgan cab. It is a fixed baffle design just like you would find in early 60s British cabinets. At the heart of the cab is a Celestion G12H-75 Creamback 16 Ohm speaker. Back in the late 60s, the G12H was created by fixing an ‘H’ type (heavy) magnet to the body of a G12M guitar speaker. Result: a speaker with more power and a different tonal balance: firmer bass and a more pronounced top end.
