Orange Marcus King MK Ultra Signature 30W Valve Amp Head

The MK Ultra was developed in conjunction with Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Marcus King, and is the very first Orange amplifier to be designed and built in the USA. The hand wired 30 watt all-valve guitar amplifier is a completely unique design that offers a new approach to the classic Orange sound. Built using the highest quality components, including American-made custom Heyboer transformers, the MK Ultra pays tribute to King and his signature blend of Southern Rock and Blues.

The MK Ultra’s carefully tuned input circuitry responds amazingly well to your guitar’s volume and tone settings, delivering a range of expressive and dynamic tones. The preamp section is driven by a pair of 12AX7 (ECC83) valves, while the power section consists of two 6L6GC valves, another first for an Orange amp. At 30 watts, the MK Ultra has plenty of clean headroom making it a fantastic pedal platform, and seamlessly blends them together into the tone instead of sitting on top of it.

Despite being a signature amplifier, the MK Ultra is far from a one trick pony. Fans of Blues, Country, Classic Rock and even Jazz-Fusion will find something in the MK Ultra to inspire them. The simple, three-knob set up is surprisingly versatile and has enough tone-shaping options to keep even the biggest tone-tinkerers happy!

• Hand Built & Hand Wired –  Every single component is connected from one point to the next. The capacitors and resistors are wired directly to the tubes for a superior tone.
• Tailored EQ Section – This one-of-a-kind circuit design features EQ controls in different parts of the circuit, and are totally independent. The specific ranges and frequencies of these controls were voiced for Marcus so that it’s impossible to dial in a bad sound!
• All New Design – This is not a copy of any previous vintage design with some slight modifications. This is a unique design developed specifically for the MK Ultra.
