PM Sets are perfectly matched – the tubes you’re replacing probably weren’t when originally fitted, so the BIAS on your amp will have been adjusted to a different value for each tube to ensure even performance. If the amp is self-biasing or user adjustable, no problem! If a fixed bias type it will need to be setup by an engineer, a simple job (for him!) Check your amp’s handbook before replacing. Incorrectly biased amps reduce tube life and performance, invalidate our guarantee and worst of all…sound bad!
