Source Audio Mercury Flanger Pedal

Flanging is a unique audio modulation effect which is created by mixing two identical signals, one of which is being delayed by a small and gradually changing amount. This produces a ‘sweeping’ type effect which can be used to add texture to your tone. Flangers became very popular in the 1960s and 70s with players like Andy Summers and Eddie Van Halen using them to great effect.

The Source Audio Mercury Flanger offers three distinctly different flanging options; Classic, Thru-Zero and Shadow. With controls for Depth, Speed, Resonance and Delay, the Mercury Flanger gives you full control over the effect with full stereo capability. This means you can plug it into two different amplifiers for a huge, wide, modulated tone.

Each pedal from Source Audio’s One Series line is compatible with the Neuro Mobile App (a free download for iOS and Android) which opens up a plethora of presets and customisation and editing features.

Key Features

• 3 Flanging Modes – “Classic” mode is based on the earliest flangers and offers a deep and heavily modulated sound. “Thru-Zero” delivers the iconic twisting effect that occurs when the dry and modulating signals reach their intersection point. “Shadow” mode offers a highly resonant “whooshing” sound, often referred to as the jet plane sound.
• Stereo Operation – Connect the Mercury Flanger to two amplifiers for a huge, wide, modulation effect. Once you’ve gone stereo, you won’t want to go back!
• Tap Tempo – The built in tap tempo function allows you to perfectly sync the flanging effect with the tempo of the song you’re playing. Go one step further and set beat divisions (quarter, eighth, triplet, and 16th) with the Speed knob.
• Universal Bypass – Chose between an analogue buffered or relay based True Bypass depending on where the Mercury Flanger sits in your signal chain.
• Expression Control – Connect an expression pedal (not included) for even more control of the flanging effect.
